Tell us a little about your background and journey into Cannabis

I’ve sold and used cannabis since high school I ventured from IL to WA for cannabis opportunities in 2013 where I learned to allot about the plant and how to grow I would also end up working part-time at a medical dispensary named blossom gardens soon after I landed a scholarship to Oaksterdam University where I attended and graduated 2018 and did an internship afterward that landed me my first full-time dispensary job at the Apothecarium where I stayed for almost a year before landing the dream job at Harborside in Oakland and winning Budtender of the Year in Las Vegas

What trends do you see in cannabis beverages?

The biggest cannabis drink trend is the inevitable move away from carbonated drinks into more tea juices and even cannabis water.

What tips do you have on growing the category when it comes to product development?

Make sure to market the product to different audiences not everyone takes in ads the same. 

What are the 3 things that we can educate end consumers more on in growing end-consumer awareness?

Availability, Dosages, and Processes and procedures.

Which states / markets do you think present good growth opportunities for cannabis beverages in 2023-2024?

California, Michigan, Washington, Illinois, and Missouri

What do you think are the current challenges in the cannabis beverage category

Getting people to see that drinking cannabis is just as viable as inhaling or eating cannabis.

If you were to give advice to a first-time cannabis beverage consumer, what tips would you give?

Don’t drink it all sip slowly and see how you feel in half an hour or so.

Brand appeal, taste, and MG dosage have to be 10mg or better.
